I’ve always enjoyed working with children growing up, and one of the main reasons why I wanted to be a teacher is because of a teacher I had. He was the most passionate and inspiring teacher. I wanted to be like him and give children the love and support they need in order to be successful in life.
My personal teaching style is hands-on and children-led. Instead of just teaching children, I let children lead and use their curiosity to explore their interests and the world. Another important part of my teaching style is valuing empathy; having the component of social-emotional skills and guidance will help children feel safe and comfortable, leading to them being able to thrive.
My favourite thing about working with children is seeing how each of their minds works. They are all so creative and unique in their own way. Being able to see how they develop and achieve their goals is the most rewarding and fulfilling part of the job.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my loved ones, including family and friends. I love exploring new places, trying different foods, and creating meaningful memories through new experiences and adventures. Whether it’s discovering a new café, visiting a beautiful outdoor space, or travelling somewhere new, I enjoy opportunities to relax, connect with others, and appreciate the little moments in life.
