Anne Lo (She/Her)

Educator

I’ve always enjoyed working with children growing up, and one of the main reasons why I wanted to be a teacher is because of a teacher I had. He was the most passionate and inspiring teacher. I wanted to be like him and give children the love and support they need in order to be successful in life.

My personal teaching style is being hands-on and children-led. Instead of just teaching children, I let children lead and use their curiosity to explore their interest and the world. Another important part of my teaching style is valuing empathy; having the component of social emotional skills and guidance will help children feel safe and comfortable, leading to them being able to thrive.

My favourite thing about working with children is seeing how each of their minds works. They are all so creative and unique in their own way. Being able to see how they develop and achieve their goals is the most rewarding and fulfilling part of the job.

One of my favourite things to do is cook and my signature dish is cajun chicken. It’s my signature dish because it’s so easy and delicious.

One of my favourite pastimes is staying home and cooking dinner and watching movies and TV shows. My favourite TV show is How I Met Your Mother.
