Loose parts turn simple, everyday materials into o Loose parts turn simple, everyday materials into opportunities for imagination, and discovery. Acorns become ingredients, wooden bowls become mixing pots, and a simple collection of objects opens the door to experimentation, and problem-solving.

At Nido, we thoughtfully prepare environments that encourage children to follow their own ideas. Inspired by Montessori principles, we give them the freedom to explore and make choices through hands-on experiences.

Because learning begins with the freedom to wonder, try, and explore✨

The magic of a field trip doesn’t end when we le The magic of a field trip doesn’t end when we leave the farm, it comes right back to our classroom! 🎃✨

Bringing our pumpkin inside was all about letting the children take the lead and turn last week’s farm trip into their own hands-on discovery. Washing off the farm dirt gave them a real sense of ownership and care. Sitting together to guess what was hidden inside turned big questions into real practice with observing, thinking ahead, and respecting safety around sharp tools.

And when that pumpkin finally opened? The squishy pulp and seeds became an invitation to explore! From strengthening little hands and fingers to building confidence with new textures, whether diving right in or exploring through our sensory bin, every child got to learn and play in their own unique way.

Connecting real-world experiences back to our classroom is where curiosity truly takes root! 🧡🍂

Fall adventures at @emmaleafarms! 🌾 Today, our Fall adventures at @emmaleafarms! 🌾

Today, our little learners had a fantastic morning exploring the farm, navigating the oat maze, learning how pumpkins grow, and picking out their very own fall treasures!🎃

Field trips like today’s Pumpkin Patch offer our children a wonderful, hands-on opportunity to engage all their senses and deepen their understanding of the natural world.

Thank you to our amazing families and educators for making this morning so memorable! 🍁✨

📸 Here are a few highlights from today’s farm adventure!

Gathering time is about more than coming together. Gathering time is about more than coming together. It’s a chance for children to experience what it means to be part of a community: to feel that they belong, to make space for others, to listen, and to take part in something shared.

Over time, these everyday experiences help children build a sense of belonging, grow more confident in themselves, and discover that they can contribute in their own little ways.

Because learning to be part of a group starts with the small moments we share.✨
